Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. She spent the majority of her early years listening to classic music and boleros of the past, traditional ranchero or romantic songs along with old classical pieces. Ana is an avid fan of tangos. Also, she loves operas as well as any dramatic performance. She was taught by her mother to sing, however she started intensive training in vocals with Flavio Belcerra at 16 when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera singer and tenor. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. The beginning of her professional career included performances with a variety of opera choruses, chamber groups in Guadalajara. Following her move to the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she moved to southern California. She is a frequent soloist at private parties and events and performs classical Latin American Music. In addition to being an instructor and performer in the local area and instructor, her passion for music and art keeps her engaged in a wide range of projects. Ana has also been a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a passion, particularly for the young generation, for keeping this music in the present.
